Research & Education

At CORAL, we uplift research and learning that serves the moment. We love to ask and explore questions like:

How do we build stronger families and communities? How do we facilitate collective healing and growth? How do we address harm and violence without relying on approaches that cause more harm and violence? Are the innovative methods we’re trying working?

Whether as a collaborator, consultant, or leader, CORAL supports investigation of these big questions, and all the smaller ones that help inform them.

Eva has extensive research, evaluation, education, and facilitation experience related to the following topics: trauma, trauma-informed practice, the criminal legal system, youth justice, transformative justice, judge behavior, accountability, punitiveness, growth mindsets, housing and homelessness, disability services, quality of life, and social determinants of health.

She has worked within a range of settings, including university labs and classrooms, policy settings, community organizations, judicial conferences, and within families.

“Eva is an intelligent, industrious, and generous person.  She has a vision for the world and her purpose in it that is inspiring and contagious.  I had the pleasure of working with her as both an educator and a researcher, and she excelled at both.  From designing studies, to analyzing data, to drafting articles, Eva was committed, thoughtful, and meticulous in her work.  She is a brilliant social scientist; detail-oriented but always seeing the bigger picture.  I can recommend her wholeheartedly as a scholar and as a person.”
